Epitalon
Anti-aging peptidePeptides
Description
Epitalon is a synthetic pineal gland tetrapeptide. This peptide is an analogue of the natural drug epithalamin, an effective bioregulator of the neuroendocrine system. Epithalamin has the following amino acid sequence: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly.
Epitalon exhibits a broad spectrum of biological activity: it induces telomere lengthening, can slow the aging process, reduce the manifestations of atherosclerosis, and improve cognitive function regardless of age. In animal studies, the drug also demonstrated anticancer activity.
Like epithalamin, epitalon increases melatonin production by the pineal gland, as demonstrated in experiments on aged monkeys and humans. In trials, epitalon influenced nocturnal melatonin production, and its effectiveness was 500 times greater than that of epithalamin. The peptide demonstrated normalization of circadian rhythms of norepinephrine and dopamine production in the hypothalamus.

Various routes of administration are permitted: intranasal (nasal drops), oral (spray under the tongue, hold for 30-60 seconds), subcutaneous, into fatty tissue (usually in the abdominal area), or intramuscular. The method of administration is selected by the attending physician depending on the goal of therapy.
A typical dosage regimen is 5-10 mg per day, with a course duration of 10-20 days. Studies have shown that increasing the dosage does not produce significant results. Depending on the treatment goals and the individual patient’s condition, the course may be repeated after 3-6 months.
For a comprehensive effect, it can be used in combination with GHK-Cu and Thymosin Beta (TB-500). Consult your physician regarding dosage and concomitant use.
